I’ve sent in an application form but haven’t had any confirmation yet…did you get it?<\/span> We are a tiny rescue, totally run by volunteers.\u00a0 We have a huge number of emails daily regarding rehoming our dogs. Unfortunately, we do not have the resources to reply to every email or application form individually. We will contact everyone who makes the rehome shortlist for one of the dogs. Unfortunately, each dog might have a large number of application forms and some take longer than others to go through.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>

I need to rehome my chihuahua, can you help?<\/span> Yes we can help. If you can send an email to suzannecallan@hotmail.com<\/a> with “I WANT TO REHOME MY CHIHUAHUA”\u00a0 in the subject line.<\/p>

What is the process for rehoming my dog with Dizzy chihuahua Rescue?<\/span> We appreciate that making the decision to rehome your beloved Chihuahua is a difficult one. We will always try to help you through this challenging time and guide you through the stages with love and compassion.<\/p>

Send us an email with your name, phone number and a few details of the dog(s) you wish to rehome. Send this to suzannecallan@hotmail.com\u00a0 \u00a0In the subject line, please write \u201cI WISH TO REHOME MY CHIHUAHUA\u201d That way, it will get priority attention from us.<\/p>

We encourage you to be 100% open and truthful, we will never judge but it is very important that we know everything about your dog to be able to give you best advice for your situation and to be able to make arrangements for your dog to be placed in the correct environment suited to its needs.<\/p>

Where are you based?<\/span> We are based in London, but our dogs can be adopted within the UK<\/p>

Is there a fee or payment to adopt a Dizzy Chihuahua?<\/span> There is a non refundable donation of \u00a3350.00 per Chihuahua. The donation doesn\u2019t ‘buy’ the Chihuahua.\u00a0 As we are a non profit organisation, the donation goes towards transportation and ongoing expenses\u00a0 for all dogs in our care, veterinarian fee\u2019s for spaying, neutering,\u00a0 vaccinations, microchipping, dentals and any other medical conditions and needs.\u00a0 We personally are not paid for the time and effort that we put into the rescue, we do this voluntarily for the good of the rescue and to improve the lives of Chihuahua\u2019s in need.<\/p>

I don’t have any time to care for a Chihuahua myself but I want to help?<\/span>\u00a0 You can help in many ways, make a one off donation, sponsor a pet, send in a raffle prize. We appreciate every effort made no matter how small. Every penny goes to the little Chihuahuas and every penny is important!<\/p>

How can I donate money?<\/span>\u00a0 We prefer to accept\u00a0a donation by bank transfer direct to our Dizzy Chihuahua Rescue bank account.\u00a0Please contact us for the bank details if you wish to use this method of donation.<\/p>

We are always happy for any donation big or small. A few pounds a month may seem small, but will contribute to a pups food or treats.<\/p>

Can I apply to adopt a pet if I have children?<\/span> As a rule, we do not rehome to households with children under the age of 10. That being said, each dog is different. Some dogs have lived with children and will be fine, others may not. We assess each situation and dog individually. Please make sure you fill in the application form fully so that we may do this.<\/p>

Can I apply to adopt a pet if i live in a flat?<\/span> We assess each situation and dog individually. Chihuahuas are great dogs for people with small homes. As long as you can exercise and walk them daily and offer them a rich and fun environment inside the flat, we are happy to rehome.<\/p>

I already own another dog, can I apply to adopt a rescue dog from Dizzy Chihuahua?<\/span> We assess each situation and other dogs in the home individually. Many dogs enjoy the company of others and a big part of the assessments with our dogs is to determine whether we feel they would like to live in a home with another dog or on their own.<\/p>

Are there any other restrictions to adopting a dog?<\/span> We do not rehome our little Chihuahua\u2019s with any other unsprayed or unneutered dogs or cats.<\/p>

I only want to adopt a Chihuahua of a certain age \/ sex \/ colour? Can I choose?<\/span>\u00a0 Because of the nature of animal rescue, we cannot predict what animals which may come to us looking for new forever homes. We will take into consideration your requests but our priority is the happiness and welfare of each dog.<\/p>

What happens if I don’t get along my adopted dog or if we have problems?<\/span>\u00a0We are very select in choosing a new home for one of our dogs. We will always prioritise the needs of our dogs.\u00a0Dizzy Chihuahua Rescue will always take a dog back if the adoption is unsuccessful. In fact it is one of the conditions of adopting a Dizzy Chihuahua Rescue dog.\u00a0 We will always work with you to try to help with any issues you may have with your\u00a0Dizzy Chihuahua Rescue\u00a0dog.<\/p>

What is the home check for?<\/span> We carry out home checks to make sure your home is suitable for one of our dogs to be safe and secure. We will advise you if we think changes need to be made to satisfy our requirements. Once these changes are made, we will revisit to ensure all is satisfactory for the adoption.<\/p>
